Origin
The Agave ferdinandi 'Regis', also known as the Queen Agave, originates from Mexico. This plant belongs to the Asparagaceae family and finds its origin in the dry, rocky regions of the country.

Characteristics
Agave ferdinandi 'Regis' is an elegant succulent with wide, fleshy leaves that grow in a rosette. The leaves are often grey-blue in colour and can take on a plum-like hue when exposed to full sun. The leaves are typically covered with short, serrated edges and a sharp point at the end. The plant grows slowly and usually does not grow larger than 30 cm in diameter.

Care
The Agave ferdinandi 'Regis' requires minimal care. For optimal growth, the plant needs well-draining soil and a place under full sun but can tolerate partial shade. Although the plant is drought-resistant, it requires regular watering during its growing season, but less in the winter. Overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot. Fertilisation is generally not needed, but moderate feeding with a cactus fertiliser during the growing season can support growth.
