Origin
The Philodendron Atlantis is a popular houseplant originally hailing from the rainforests of South America. It belongs to the Araceae family, noted for its diverse range of species. These plants have evolved to survive in the lower part of the rainforest, where they receive limited light.

Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Philodendron Atlantis is its large, heart-shaped leaves. These leaves, which grow on long stalks, are glossy and feature a unique green pattern that is reminiscent of an aerial view of a city. The plant can grow up to a metre in height, making it a striking addition to any interior. Older plants can sometimes produce small, inconspicuous flowers.

Care
The Philodendron Atlantis generally requires little maintenance. It thrives best under indirect light and a consistently warm temperature, just like in its natural habitat. The soil should be well-draining and regularly kept lightly moist, without allowing water to pool in the planter. It is advised to fertilise the plant once a month in spring and summer, in order to promote growth and health.
