Origin
The Sansevieria Aubrytiana Sayuri, otherwise known as the 'Snake Plant', has its origins in West Africa. This region spans from Nigeria to the Congo, with varying conditions from the dry Sahel zone to the humid forests. Here, the plant grows on rocky surfaces.
Characteristics
The Sansevieria Aubrytiana Sayuri stands out for its sharply pointed, fatty, and sturdy leaves. They have a remarkable pattern of silver-grey horizontal stripes against a green base. Mature plants can reach a height between 60 and 90 centimetres. The plant grows slowly and retains a compact shape for many years.
Care
The Sansevieria Aubrytiana Sayuri requires little maintenance. It grows best in semi-shade to full sun and is tolerant of dry air. Regarding watering, it is important to be moderate and avoid excess water, especially during the winter. The plant thrives in a well-draining soil mix. It is not necessary to fertilise the plant regularly.
