Origin
The Fittonia Mini Whisper originated in the tropical rainforests of South America, specifically in Peru. The plant belongs to the Acanthaceae family and is named after the sisters Elizabeth and Sarah Fitton, who made numerous contributions to botany in the 19th century.
Characteristics
The Fittonia Mini Whisper is a compact, low-growing plant known for its rich, green leaves with a unique, silvery vein pattern. The plant usually reaches a height of 10 to 15 centimetres and expands in width. It is a pot plant that rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces inconspicuous white or pink flowers.
Care
The Fittonia Mini Whisper grows best in indirect, bright light and temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius. The plant does not tolerate full sun and can therefore burn. Due to its tropical origin, the plant needs high humidity and it is necessary to spray the plant regularly. The Fittonia Mini Whisper requires well-drained soil and regular, but moderate watering is essential to keep the plant healthy.
