Origin
The Microsorum Musifolium Crocodyllus, also known as the Crocodile fern, has its origin in the subtropical regions of Asia and Oceania. This plant is a member of the Polypodiaceae family, which includes over 60 species. The Crocodile fern primarily grows in its natural habitat of rainforests and moist mountainous areas.
Characteristics
The elongated, textured leaves are characteristic for the Microsorum Musifolium Crocodyllus, reminiscent of crocodile skin, hence the name. The plant can grow to a height of approximately one meter. A mature plant has a spreading growth and can considerably increase in size. The signature green leaf has a leathery structure and often has a lightly curled edge.
Care
The Microsorum Musifolium Crocodyllus does not make many demands regarding its care. The plant prefers a place with partial shade and can also be kept indoors. Regular watering is important, but prevent the plant from standing in water to avoid root rot. Although the plant prefers high humidity, it is relatively tolerant to drier conditions.
