Origin
The Guzmania Fiero Orange is a member of the bromeliad family and its origin lies in Central and South America. This plant is indigenous to tropical areas such as Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil. The rainforests of these countries provide a natural habitat for the Guzmania Fiero Orange.
Characteristics
The Guzmania Fiero Orange is a striking, exotic plant known for its bright orange flowers that shoot out of tightly packed rosettes. The plant grows in a rosette shape and has long, narrow, shiny green leaves. A unique characteristic of the Guzmania Fiero Orange is that it absorbs its water and nutrients through the central, cup-shaped rosette, rather than through the roots as is the case with most other plants.
Care
For the care of the Guzmania Fiero Orange, it is important to provide high humidity and indirect light. The plant has a preference for warm temperatures between 18-27 degrees Celsius. Overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot. It is better to fill the central rosette with a small amount of water than to water the potting soil. The plant needs little fertiliser, a light fertilisation during the growing season is sufficient.
