Origin
The Dieffenbachia 'Green Magic' is a plant species originally from Central and South America. This plant is named after the German doctor and botanist Ernst Dieffenbach. It is a popular houseplant often found in tropical and subtropical climates and also grows in the shady parts of rainforests.
Characteristics
The Dieffenbachia 'Green Magic' has large, glossy leaves that are rich in green hues. The arrowhead-shaped leaves can reach a length of up to 60 cm. This plant ranges in height from 0.6 meters to 3 meters, depending on the variety and growing conditions. Despite its tropical origin, the Dieffenbachia 'Green Magic' can also adapt to less light locations.
Care
The care of the Dieffenbachia 'Green Magic' requires dedication, but this plant is reasonably forgiving. The plant grows best in indirect but bright light, and needs moist, but well-draining soil. It is also important to regularly fertilise the plant during the growth period. However, overwatering and too low humidity should be avoided, as this can have adverse effects on the plant.
