Origin
The Cortaderia selloana 'Mini Gold Pampas', also known as the Mini Pampas Grass, originates from South America. It belongs to the plant genus Cortaderia, where it is the most well-known member. This graceful, decorative grass species is currently cultivated all over the world for its elegant beauty and versatile application in landscape architecture.

Characteristics
The Mini Gold Pampas is a compact variety of Pampas Grass, with shiny light golden leaves and soft-looking golden flower plumes that appear in late summer. It has an erect, bushy growth habit that extends to about 60-90 centimetres in height and approximately the same width. The plumes can add another 30 centimetres to the total height of the plant, making it ideal for creating elegant vertical sight in gardens.

Care
The Cortaderia selloana 'Mini Gold Pampas' is a fairly carefree plant. It performs best in full sun to light shade, in well-drained soil. Once established, it is fairly drought tolerant. While it offers some resistance to moderate frost, it may require extra protection in extremely cold climates. Pruning in early spring helps to promote healthy growth and keep the plant looking its best.
