Origin
The Euphorbia aggregata variegata is a succulent, also known as a fat plant, which originates from Madagascar. It is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family, found in a number of different habitats worldwide. Although the exact distribution of Euphorbia aggregata variegata in the wild is unclear, it is plausible that the plant comes from dry, rocky areas.
Characteristics
The Euphorbia aggregata variegata is a low-growing succulent with a compact growth form. The leaves of the plant are remarkably varied in colour, ranging from cream to green and even pink. The plant has a striped aspect, giving the impression of a collection of small pebbles covered with moss. The Euphorbia aggregata variegata produces small, inconspicuous flowers throughout the growing season.
Care
Like many other succulents, the Euphorbia aggregata variegata generally requires little care. The plant performs best in a sunny location with well-draining soil. It is important to avoid overwatering as this can quickly lead to rot. During the rest period in winter, watering should be reduced. The Euphorbia aggregata variegata is not frost resistant and therefore must be overwintered indoors in a cool, bright place.
