Origin
The Aglaonema 'Toms Pride', also known as the Chinese aglaonema, has its origins in the humid tropical rainforests of Asia, with a strong concentration in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. This plant belongs to the Araceae family and is mainly found in low light intensity conditions, which explains why the Aglaonema 'Toms Pride' can easily adapt to indoor environments.

Characteristics
The Aglaonema 'Toms Pride' is an evergreen perennial plant that is characterised by its variegated leaves showing a unique mix of cream and green shades. The plant can reach a height of about 50 cm. The trunk of the Aglaonema 'Toms Pride' is short and the branches lead to long, pointed leaves. The plant rarely produces flowers in indoor environments, but when it does, these flowers are inconspicuous and small.

Care
Caring for the Aglaonema 'Toms Pride' requires little effort due to its tolerance for a range of growing conditions. The plant thrives in a place in partial shade or indirect light and likes evenly moist soil, but is also tolerant of drought. Temperatures between 16 and 30 degrees Celsius are ideal for the growth of the Aglaonema 'Toms Pride'. It is recommended to feed the plant with a slow release fertiliser during the growing period.
