Origin
Abelia grandiflora 'Tricolor Charm' is a cultivar developed from the species Abelia x grandiflora. The origin of Abelia x grandiflora lies in a hybrid that was obtained in Italy in the nineteenth century from a cross between Abelia chinensis and Abelia uniflora. The species belongs to the Caprifoliaceae family. 'Tricolor Charm' has been specifically selected for its striking foliage colour and ornamental value. This cultivar has become particularly popular in ornamental gardens and public green spaces across Europe.

Characteristics
