Origin
The Sansevieria Black Diamond, also known as the snake plant, is a spp from the Asparagaceae family. This plant originally comes from tropical West Africa, from Nigeria to Congo. It is a popular indoor plant due to its low care requirements and unique aesthetic appearance.
Characteristics
The Sansevieria Black Diamond is characterised by its pointy leaves that rise from the ground. The leaves have a dark green colour with light-coloured horizontal stripes. Unique to this variant is the narrow golden edge that frames each leaf. The height of the plant varies, but can reach an average of one meter.
Care
The Sansevieria Black Diamond has few care requirements. The plant does well in places with little light and can therefore be placed almost anywhere in the house. It is important that the soil drains well to prevent root rot. In general, the plant does not need much water and it is better to ignore it than to over care. The Sansevieria Black Diamond is not frost resistant and survives the winter segments best indoors.
