Origin
The Sansevieria White Snow, also known as the snake plant, has its origin in West Africa, where it thrives in a wide range of environments. This evergreen perennial predominantly inhabits dry, rocky regions and savannas, demonstrating its commendable tolerance to dry conditions.
Characteristics
Characteristic of the Sansevieria White Snow are its sword-shaped, upright leaves, which are adorned with beautiful white and green patterns. These leaves can grow up to a height of 70 to 90 centimetres in ideal conditions. The white variegated variety of this Sansevieria makes it an attractive addition to any indoor space. The plant rarely blooms indoors, but when it does, it produces sweet-smelling greenish-white flowers.
Care
Despite its exotic appearance, the Sansevieria White Snow is relatively easy to care for. It prefers bright, indirect light, but can also thrive in shaded areas. Overwatering should be avoided as the plant is drought-tolerant and the roots can rot if they become too wet. It is also important to ensure well-draining soil, so that water cannot sit. In terms of nutrients, the plant has a slight preference for pH-neutral to lightly acidic soil.
