Origin
The Sansevieria Artistic fan finds its origin in West Africa, specifically in countries such as Nigeria, Congo, and Senegal. This plant, also known as the Snake Plant, grows there in dry, rocky areas where it can easily adapt to various conditions. In the world of houseplants, the Sansevieria Artistic fan is relatively new and therefore less known than the traditional Sansevieria varieties.
Characteristics
The Sansevieria Artistic fan is characterised by its long, sharp leaves shaped like a fan, and is green in colour with light, horizontal stripes. The leaves grow slowly and ultimately reach a height of about 60 cm. The plant rarely produces flowers, but when they appear, they are usually greenish-white and have a sweet scent. This hardy indoor plant is famous for its air-purifying properties, capable of removing toxins from the air.
Care
The Sansevieria Artistic fan is a relatively low-maintenance plant and requires only basic care. It requires moderate watering; allow the topsoil to dry between watering sessions. Excessive water can cause the plant's roots to rot. A spot with indirect sunlight is ideal, but the plant is also able to survive in less light conditions. In terms of temperature, the Sansevieria Artistic fan prefers warmth and cannot tolerate frost.
