Origin
The Sansevieria trifasciata 'Golden Hahnii', also known as the 'Golden Bird's Nest', originates from West Africa. More specifically, this house plant is native to Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In the tropical rainforests of these regions, the 'Golden Hahnii' grows abundantly.
Characteristics
The 'Golden Hahnii' is a small, robust succulent. The plant has thick, upright leaves that have a light green colour with golden yellow edges. These leaves form a rosette-like structure, lending the plant a distinctive and decorative appearance. The plant can grow up to 15 cm in height, and rarely blooms with fragrant, greenish flowers.
Care
The care of the 'Golden Hahnii' is relatively simple. The plant prefers a lot of light, but also tolerates semi-shade. Direct sunlight is not recommended, however, as this can burn the leaves. In terms of watering, this plant requires little. Watering once a month is usually sufficient. It is important to ensure that the soil dries out almost completely between waterings to prevent root rot.
