Origin
Sansevieria bacularis 'Mikado' has its origin in West Africa. This species belongs to the genus Sansevieria, which has since been classified under the genus Dracaena. Sansevieria bacularis grows in dry, rocky areas. In the wild, the plant adapts to changing climates with limited rainfall. It naturally occurs mainly in tropical and subtropical regions.

Characteristics
Sansevieria bacularis 'Mikado' is characterised by its narrow, cylindrical, upright leaves. The leaves are dark green with lighter, vertical stripes. This plant generally grows in dense rosettes. Its upright growth habit and compact form make it popular as a pot plant.

Care
Sansevieria bacularis 'Mikado' thrives in bright indirect light, but can also tolerate shadier locations. The plant requires little water and copes well with dry periods. Overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot. Room temperature should be moderate. Fertiliser once a month during the growing season is sufficient.
