Origin
Schefflera actinophylla 'Amate' originates from the rainforests of north-eastern Australia, New Guinea, and parts of Indonesia. The plant belongs to the Araliaceae family. In its natural environment, this species grows into a large tree. It is widely cultivated as a pot plant around the world.

Characteristics
Schefflera actinophylla 'Amate' is characterised by its large, glossy green leaves. The leaves are palmately compound, usually consisting of seven to nine leaflets. The plant has an upright growth habit and can reach heights of two to three metres indoors. The stems are sturdy and the veins on the leaves are clearly visible. Schefflera actinophylla 'Amate' is known for its rapid growth and bushy appearance.

Care
This plant prefers a location with plenty of indirect light. Keep the root ball slightly moist, without allowing water to collect in the planter. Ideally, the room temperature should be maintained between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius. Regularly removing dust from the leaves will help maintain its ornamental value. During the growing season, plant feed may be given periodically.
