Origin
Schefflera actinophylla 'Amate' originates from the tropical rainforests of Australia, New Guinea and parts of Indonesia. This plant belongs to the Araliaceae family. In nature, Schefflera actinophylla can grow into a large tree. Through cultivation, the ‘Amate’ variety has been developed, known for its special characteristics.

Characteristics

The leaf surface of the 'Amate' is firmer and more glossy compared to many other Schefflera varieties. Indoors, the plant can become a substantial pot plant with an elegantly branched growth habit. Thanks to its dense foliage, it has a full, robust appearance.

Care
Schefflera actinophylla 'Amate' prefers a bright spot out of direct sunlight. The plant requires regular watering; the potting soil should be kept lightly moist. During the growing season, fertilising once a month is recommended. The humidity should ideally not be too low. The plant tolerates normal room temperatures.
