Characteristics
The Schefflera arboricola 'Compacta' is a popular indoor plant, especially because of its compact growth and attractive leaf structure. The plant has shiny, hand-shaped leaves that consist of many small leaflets, which give this plant its characteristic umbrella shape. It remains relatively small, but can grow up to 1 meter high in some cases. Care
The Schefflera arboricola 'Compacta' doesn't require a lot of care. The plant needs ample light, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight and should therefore be placed in a shady spot. In terms of temperature, it tolerates temperatures between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius best. During the summer, the plant should be watered when the top layer of the soil feels dry. In the winter, the soil can be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Regular misting is appreciated, as the plant is originally from a humid climate.
