Origin
The Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon' 6/tray, also known as the Lemon Prayer Plant, finds its origin in the tropical rainforests of Brazil. It is part of the Marantaceae family, a plant family known for their ornate leaves and growth behaviour.

Characteristics
The Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon' is characterised by its bright green, oval leaves with striking, jet-black veins. A unique feature of this plant is the day and night cycle of the leaf; during the day the leaves lay flat and at night they fold up. The 'Lemon' variant distinguishes itself by the light yellow colouring of its leaves and the size, which can go up to about 30 centimetres.

Care
In terms of the care of the Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon', it is important to know that it is a half-shade plant. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to fade.
