Chlorophytum comosum 'Atlantic' 6/tray
4CHATBU12
Origin
The Parthenocissus striata 4/tray, also known as the 'tricuspidata', originally comes from the East Asia. This part of the world has warm, damp climates which are ideal for the growth of this type of plant. Despite being naturally a woody, perennial plant, it is often grown as an annual cultivated plant.
Characteristics
Characteristic of the Parthenocissus striata 4/tray is its rapid and exuberant growth whereby the plant attaches itself to various surfaces. This self-clinging climber requires little from its location and nutrient soil. The plant has three-lobed leaves, which turn beautifully deep red to purple in autumn. In addition, the plant produces blue-black berries.
Care
The care of the Parthenocissus striata 4/tray is relatively straightforward. The plant prefers a place in full sun to semi-shade and requires a well-draining soil. Regular pruning helps to keep the growth in check and stimulates a healthy development of the plant. During dry periods, the plant needs extra water, but too much water can cause root rot. It is advisable to fertilise the plant annually to promote optimal growth.
