Origin
The Phalaenopsis, also known as the Table Orchid, is a popular houseplant originally from the tropical regions of Asia, specifically the Philippines and Indonesia. This epiphytic plant - a plant that grows on other plants - thrives in the humid and warm environments typical of the tropical rainforests of its origin area.

Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis Table Orchid is loved for its attractive and durable flowers. These flowers can range in colour from white, pink, purple and even countless colour intensities and patterns. The plant's leaves are thick, oval in shape and have a glossy green surface. It is a slow-growing plant and can reach an average height of about 60 to 90 cm at full maturity.

Care
The Phalaenopsis Table Orchid has very specific care requirements and gets its nourishment primarily from the air. As the plant is originally from a humid climate, it's important to provide sufficient humidity and warmth. Although they require sunlight, they thrive best in environments with indirect sunlight.
