Origin
The Phalaenopsis Gloria is a developed variety of the Phalaenopsis, also known as the butterfly orchid. This species originally hails from Southeast Asia, specifically from the Philippines and Australia. Various cultivars have emerged through hybridisation, one of which being the Phalaenopsis Gloria.

Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis Gloria is renowned for the unique beauty of its flowers. The flowers range in colour from soft pink to vivid red, with a bright white centre. The leaves are thick and succulent with a shiny, dark green colour. The clusters of flowers can appear all year round and the blooming period can last up to three months.

Care
The Phalaenopsis Gloria requires specific growing conditions in order to flourish. It performs best under moderate light conditions and at temperatures between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius. Overwatering should be avoided as this can cause root rot. It's advisable to water the plant once every two weeks and let the potting soil dry out slightly between watering. It's also important to avoid fertilising during the blooming period.
