Origin
The Guzmania Fiero Yellow is a plant species from the Bromeliaceae family and has its origins in Central and South America. Here the plant grows mainly in the tropical rainforest, on the tree bark as an epiphyte. Epiphytic plants live above the ground and get their nourishment from the air, rain and compost around their roots.
Characteristics
The Guzmania Fiero Yellow is known for its striking yellow flower, which takes the form of a brightly coloured tower with sharp points. The plant has long dark green leaves that grow from a rosette. It is a slow-growing plant with the flowering period lasting several months. The Guzmania Fiero Yellow can reach a height of about 40-60 cm.
Care
The Guzmania Fiero Yellow prefers high humidity and adequate indirect sunlight. Therefore, it is important to place the plant in a bright location but direct sunlight should be avoided as it can damage the leaves. Watering should be done in moderation, and should be poured directly into the flower cup. Too much water at the roots can cause root rot. It is also recommended to keep the plant in an environment with a temperature between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
