Origin
The Peperomia mix is an annual plant that belongs to the Piperaceae family. They are indigenous in tropical areas of Central and South America. Due to their pleasant adaptability, they are cultivated worldwide as house plants.

Characteristics
Peperomia mix plants distinguish themselves by their thick, often varied leaves. They usually grow up to a height of 15 to 45 cm, which makes them ideal for smaller spaces. The inflorescences are unobtrusive, and the plant is often appreciated more for its leaves than for its flowers. Despite their tropical origin, different types of the Peperomia mix can acclimatise very well in living room conditions, as long as these are not too dry or too cold.

Care
The Peperomia mix requires adequate indirect sunlight in order to grow properly. It is a plant that does not tolerate direct sunlight well. It thrives best in a place where light is filtered, for instance through a curtain. The plant has a moderate need for water and the potting soil may slightly dry between two watering sessions. It is important to provide good drainage to prevent root rot. Overwatering can cause the leaves to discolour or even fall off. Avoid water on the leaves, as this can cause rot. The plant does not have high demands for air humidity, but it certainly does not avoid high air humidity.
