Origin
The Fittonia white forest flame, also known as the 'nerve plant', originates from the tropical rainforests of South America. This striking houseplant belongs to the family of Acanthaceae.

Characteristics
Characteristics of the Fittonia white forest flame are the white, dark-veined leaves that provide a conspicuous and exotic appearance. The plant reaches a maximum height of about 15 cm. The leaves of this plant show an oval shape where white to silver veins contrast with the dark leaf colour.

Care
Despite its tropical origin, the Fittonia white forest flame is a plant that requires little light. However, it does need high humidity and plenty of water. Too much direct sunlight can lead to leaf scorching. Giving it water more than twice a week is usually discouraged, as the soil should not be soaked. The ideal room temperature for this plant is between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
