Origin
The Geranium Rozanne, officially known as Geranium 'Gerwat', is a hybrid plant first cultivated in the United Kingdom in 1989. This charming garden sculptor is the result of a cross between Geranium himalayense and Geranium wallichianum 'Buxton's Variety', two species that originated from the mountainous regions of the Himalayas.

Characteristics
The Geranium Rozanne is characterized by its attractive, blue-purple flowers with a white eye. These flowers bloom abundantly from late spring until the first frost. The plant generally grows between 45 and 60 cm tall and spreads out for up to two metres, making it an excellent ground cover. The leaves are heart-shaped and have a distinctive light green colour that changes in the autumn.

Care
The Geranium Rozanne grows best in places with full sun to semi-shade. The plant prefers well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Generally, the Geranium Rozanne is more tolerant to drought than other geranium species, but it will bloom best with regular watering, especially during dry periods. While the plant is hardy, it might be wise to choose a somewhat protective spot to help the plant through the winter months.
