DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Aloe humilis, also known as the Spider Aloe, originates from South Africa. This succulent grows in the wild in areas with a warm and dry climate. The plant is adapted to these extreme conditions, such as drought and high temperatures.

Characteristics
The Aloe humilis is characterised by its compact, rosette-shaped growth habit and has blue-grey to green leaves. The leaves are lined with small white teeth along the edges and change colour when exposed to the sun. Moreover, the Aloe humilis blooms with striking red-orange flowers on a tall stem from late winter to early spring. The plant can reach a height of approximately 30 centimeters.

Care
The Aloe humilis requires little water. In the summer, a generous amount of water once every two weeks is sufficient, and in the winter, this can be reduced to once a month. The plant can thrive in direct sunlight, but a spot with partial shade is also tolerated. It is important that the plant does not stand in stagnant water, as this can cause root rot. Repotting the Aloe humilis is ideally done in the spring, using cactus soil or another type of well-draining soil.
