Origin
The Dracaena deremensis 'Bronze', also known as the Dragon tree, originally comes from Central and West Africa. This plant is particularly common in countries such as Sudan, Mozambique and Ivory Coast. In the wild, the plant grows in tropical rainforests, but also in dry nearby areas.
Characteristics
The Dracaena deremensis 'Bronze' is a popular houseplant due to its striking appearance. The plant has moderately leathery leaves that are green with a coppery shine. The leaves are long and slender and stand upright, giving the plant a stylish appearance. Although the plant can grow into a large houseplant over the years, it grows relatively slowly.
Care
The Dracaena deremensis 'Bronze' requires little ambient light and can therefore survive well in places in the house where little natural light comes in. The plant tolerates drought well, but dislikes overly wet soil, so only water when the soil feels dry. Preferably, this plant needs an environment temperature of 18 to 25 degrees Celsius. The plant needs nutritious soil and it is recommended to add a liquid plant fertilizer to the watering once a month.
