Aeschynanthus 'Japhrolepis'
Hanger
4AEJAHA10
Origin
The Peperomia obtusifolia 'Green', also known as the Baby Rubber Plant, is originally from South America. This species is specifically found in the Amazon region, where it enjoys lush growth in the tropical climate conditions.
Characteristics
Peperomia obtusifolia 'Green' is distinguished by its round, shiny leaves that can be light to dark green. The leaves have a leathery texture. The plant has a compact growth and can reach a height of about 25 centimetres. It rarely produces flowers, but when it does, they are unassuming and whitish in colour.
Care
Peperomia obtusifolia 'Green' requires minimal care. It thrives well in indirect sunlight and requires a temperature between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius for optimal growth. Although the plant can withstand some degree of drought, it prefers a well-drained soil that is kept lightly moist. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. For feeding, a standard indoor plant fertiliser can be used, but sparingly and only during the growing season.
