Origin
The Ficus Mix is a plant species from the Moraceae family and is native to tropical regions of Asia and Africa. The family encompasses over 800 species, ranging from trees and shrubs to climbers. Well-known members of this family are the fig tree and the rubber plant.
Characteristics
The Ficus Mix is distinguished by its array of plant shades, which vary from deep green to light yellow. The leaves range in size, with some species having large leaves while others have smaller leaves. The plant has a compact growth and can reach a height of about two metres.
Care
The Ficus Mix requires relatively little care, making it easy to maintain. The plant prefers locations with light to semi-shade and needs to be watered regularly, but without making the soil soggy. In the winter, the watering can be reduced. The plant cannot tolerate frost and performs best at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to repot the plant annually to promote growth.
