Origin
The Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma, fondly known as the Lemon Cypress, has its origin in North America. This conifer is part of the Cypress family, with a specific origin from the coastal areas of California and Oregon.

Characteristics
The Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma is a low-growing conifer, widely recognised for its fresh, lemon fragrance when you crush the needles. It has bright green, needle-shaped leaves that grow in a spiral pattern around the twigs. The bark of the trees is smooth and grey with small resin blisters. Distinguishing characteristics for this variant are the slender, conical growth pattern and the maximum height these species can reach, often no more than five metres.

Care
The Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in full sun. Although it is a ground cover, it can also flourish in pots. This conifer is resistant to cold temperatures and needs regular watering, but does not cope well with stagnant water. Pruning is optional but is not necessary for the plant's health. The plant grows best in a nutritious, well-drained soil and preferably gets a special conifer fertiliser in the spring to boost growth.
