Origin
The Echeveria Blue Heart is a plant species that originates from the North of Mexico. It is a succulent from the Crassulaceae family and belongs to the Echeveria genus. The species is found in dry, rocky regions in Mexico.
Characteristics
The Echeveria Blue Heart is known for its large rosette, which can reach a diameter of up to 30 to 40 centimetres. Its leaves are densely packed, thick and have a bluish-green colour. When exposed to bright sun, the edges of the leaves can take on a pink, almost purple hue. The plant typically blooms in the summer, with bright pink flowers on long stems.
Care
The Echeveria Blue Heart thrives best in well-draining soil and in full sun to partial shade. Although the plant is drought-tolerant, it should be watered regularly during the growing season, but it is essential to avoid overwatering. In winter, watering should be drastically reduced. The Echeveria Blue Heart is not frost hardy and should be brought indoors at temperatures below 7°C.
