Origin
The Echeveria Mix has its origin in the semi-deserts of Central and South America. The plant is a part of the succulent family, also known as Crassulaceae. This unique plant belongs to the genus Echeveria, named after the 18th-century Mexican botanist Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy.
Characteristics
A notable characteristic of the Echeveria Mix is the rosette of thick, fleshy leaves. The leaves often have beautiful colours, ranging from bright green to deep purple and even almost black. The plant can bloom, during which long flower stems appear, covered with striking, bell-shaped flowers. The Echeveria Mix is known for its ability to survive in dry conditions, thanks to the water storage in the leaves.
Care
Although the Echeveria Mix is a relatively easy plant to care for, it has specific requirements. The plant needs a light location, but does not like direct sunlight. Regular but moderate watering is essential, with it being important not to saturate the roots to avoid root rot. During the winter period, the plant needs less water. The Echeveria Mix also thrives in well-draining soil and tolerates a wide range of temperatures.
