Origin
The Dracaena fragrans (Deremensis Grp) 'Arturo' has its origin in the subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and Central America. This plant species belongs to the Asparagaceae family. The growth of this plant is common in areas with a temperate to warm climate.
Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans 'Arturo' is an evergreen, perennial plant that can reach a height of 2 to 5 meters. The plant has long, thin stems covered with narrow, pointed leaves that can have various shades of green. The elegant leaves are glossy and when the plant blooms, it produces small, fragrant flowers that are white or cream in colour.
Care
'Dracaena fragrans 'Arturo'' requires a moderate amount of light and therefore it is better to place the plant in a bright spot without direct sunlight. It is recommended to water the plant moderately to sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering to prevent root rot. An average room temperature between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius is suitable for this plant. Pruning of this plant is not necessary, unless it is required to control the size or to remove dead leaves. For healthy growth, it is advisable to add liquid fertiliser to the water once a month during the growing season, spring and summer.
