Origin
The Cereus skyline, also known as the Tall Cactus, is originally from the South of America. The plant grows in dry areas, such as deserts and semi-deserts. An astonishing survival strategy has enabled the Cereus skyline to adapt to very dry conditions.
Characteristics
The Cereus skyline is a succulent, known for its remarkable height and irregular shape. The plant has a bright green colour and grows in the form of a column, which develops in width as the plant ages. The trunk of the Cereus skyline is characterised by sharp edges and deep grooves. This cactus also has a slow growth rate, but can grow substantially taller under good conditions.
Care
In general, the Cereus skyline requires little care. The plant needs well-draining soil and a warm, dry environment. It is important to minimise watering; too much water can lead to root rot. Although the Cereus skyline is generally a strong plant, it needs to be protected from extreme weather conditions such as frost.
