Origin
The Sulcorebutia rauschii is a small succulent that originates from Bolivia. It belongs to the Sulcorebutia genus within the Cactaceae family. This unique plant species is mainly found on the slopes of the Andes, at heights between 2800 and 3800 meters.

Characteristics
The Sulcorebutia rauschii is characterized by its vibrant green colour and cylindrical, often elongated, shape. The plant is known for its single, central, upright stem, which grows in a spiral pattern. It carries small, bright red to purple flowers, which can appear in the spring and summer.

Care
The Sulcorebutia rauschii requires very little water and could even rot if they get too much water, especially in the winter. They need a well-draining soil and bright, indirect sunlight. It is also important that this plant has a hardiness zone of 11 or higher, meaning, they can survive cold temperatures down to -126C. Repotting of the plant should be done with caution as the roots are quite delicate.
