Origin
The Dieffenbachia 'Tropic Marianne' is originally from the rainforests of Central and South America, in particular Brazil. This plant is part of the Araceae family and belongs to the genus Dieffenbachia, which comprises around 30 tropical species. The plant was named after the German horticulturist Ernst Dieffenbach.

Characteristics
The Dieffenbachia 'Tropic Marianne' can be identified by its wide, light-green leaves with dark green edges and spots. This plant can grow up to 1 meter tall. It is known for its strong stem system and the ability to thrive in low light conditions. Although the plant can produce flowers, the Dieffenbachia's are best known for their decorative leaves.

Care
The Dieffenbachia 'Tropic Marianne' requires a spot with indirect light and a consistently moist soil. Watering should be adapted to the level of light, with the plant requiring more water in a lighter environment than in a darker one. It is also important to feed the plant with a balanced fertiliser during the growing seasons of the year. It is necessary to keep the plant in an environment with high humidity, which can be achieved by occasionally misting.
