Origin
The Scindapsus 'Manjula Green' is part of the Epipremnum family and finds its origin in Southeast Asia and the West Pacific. This climbing plant often grows up moist trees in these tropical areas, where it enjoys shaded areas and high humidity. The plant is also known as golden pothos.
Characteristics
The 'Manjula Green' derives its name from the deep green colour of its leaves, which can grow up to 30 cm long. It is a versatile climbing plant that can entwine and grasp onto anything. The reversion is climbing, making the plant suitable as a hanging plant or a climber against a moss stick. A remarkable feature of the Scindapsus 'Manjula Green' is its unique leaf pattern: light green with dark green edges, occasionally interspersed with a little yellow.
Care
The 'Manjula Green' has a number of care requirements that need to be maintained to ensure the health of the plant. Although this plant can withstand lower light levels, it will grow best in semi-shade without direct sunlight. Ideally, this plant should be watered when the top layer of the soil feels dry. Its original habitat makes it a plant that appreciates high humidity. An environment that is too dry can lead to brown leaf tips.
