Origin

The botanical name Senecio is derived from the Latin word 'Senex', which means old man, a reference to the fluffy seed heads of some species after flowering.

Characteristics
The Senecio mix is known for its unusual shapes and variety in leaves, which can be thick, fleshy and often beautifully coloured. Some have long, hanging stems while others are compact and squat. The mix generally contains a combination of different Senecio varieties, such as the Senecio Rowleyanus, Senecio Radicans and Senecio Cephalophorus. Care
The Senecio mix performs best in bright, indirect light and needs well-draining soil to prevent the roots from becoming too wet. For healthy growth, it's essential to water the plant regularly, but watch out for signs of overwatering, such as yellowing or wilting leaves. The plant is resistant to cold and can survive temperatures just above freezing. During the winter months, watering should be reduced, as the plant is then dormant.
