Origin
The Philodendron Prince of Orange, also known as Philodendron Hybrid, has its origin in the tropical rainforests of South America. There, the plant grows as a ground cover or as a climber on trees and shrubs. This plant family is characterised by its diversity, with over 489 species spread across the continent.

Characteristics
The Philodendron Prince of Orange owes its name to the striking colour change of its leaves. When they emerge, the leaves are bright orange, and as they age, they change colour from yellow to green. The plant has a compact growth habit and typically does not grow taller than 60 centimetres. The leaves are large, thick and shiny, and have an oval to heart-shaped form.

Care
The Philodendron Prince of Orange does not require extensive care. The plant needs indirect sunlight and thrives at room temperature. It is important that the plant is not exposed to direct sunlight, as this can damage the leaves. In dry air, the plant can suffer from dry leaf tips, so it is recommended to spray regularly. Finally, it is important to let the soil dry out lightly between watering to prevent root rot. The plant has a weak to moderate need for nutrients and can be fed with a liquid fertiliser for indoor plants from spring to early autumn.
