DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Euphorbia resinifera is a plant native to Morocco. This succulent finds its origin in the Atlas Mountains, where it grows on rocky slopes and at heights of more than 1500 metres above sea level. It was in this dry, mountainous landscape that the Euphorbia resinifera evolved into the robust plant that we know today.

Characteristics
The Euphorbia resinifera has striking characteristics that distinguish the plant within its species. The plant forms a basal rosette of quadrangular, pillar-shaped branches that can reach up to a metre in height. The branches are green to dark green in colour, with sharp, needle-shaped spines along the edges that further lighten to brown or black at the points. Also characteristic are the small, yellow flowers that appear in the spring.

Care
The Euphorbia resinifera has specific care requirements due to its origin. The plant prefers well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. Overwatering should be avoided, for although the plant is drought-tolerant, it can be susceptible to root rot if the soil is too moist. It is advisable to keep the plant indoors during the winter months, as the Euphorbia resinifera is not frost-resistant.
