Aglaonema 'Chartreuse Pretty'
4AGCPBU19
Origin
The Monstera adansonii, also known as the Monstera 'Monkey Mask', is a tropical climbing plant native to Central and South America. This plant is primarily found in the rainforests of Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru. The plant is named after French botanist Michel Adanson, due to his extensive work on tropical species.
Characteristics
Monstera adansonii is characterized by its striking, perforated leaves that are extremely unique in shape and pattern. The leaves have a dark green colour and are often heart-shaped, with pronounced holes. The plant is a fast-growing climber and can reach a few metres in height, depending on its care and environment.
Care
For optimal growth of the Monstera adansonii, it is important to provide a light, but indirect, light position. The plant enjoys a moist environment but does not like wet feet: well-draining potting soil is therefore essential. The Monstera adansonii thrives at a room temperature of 18-27 degrees Celsius and requires regular feeding during the growth period in spring and summer.
