DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Agave bracteosa, also known as Spider Agave, finds its origin in Northeast-Mexico. This area is known for its high and rocky hills, hence this plant is perfectly adapted to arid and challenging conditions. It is a unique species within the Agave genus, which comprises several hundred species.

Characteristics
The Agave bracteosa differentiates itself from other Agaves by its rosette-like growth pattern and its curved, fleshy leaves. The plant has few if any spines along the leaf edges, which is atypical for agave plants. The bracteosa reaches a mature height of approximately 30 to 60 cm and produces a tall inflorescence with striking green-white flowers after a number of years.

Care
The care of the Agave bracteosa is relatively simple due to its adaptability to difficult conditions. The plant prefers full sun, but can also tolerate partial shade. The Agave bracteosa requires well-draining soil and moderate water to prevent root rot. Despite its extreme tolerance for drought, the plant will benefit from regular, but sparing watering, especially during the warmest months of the year. The Agave bracteosa is quite frost-resistant and can survive temperatures down to -7 degrees Celsius, although protection during extreme cold is recommended.
