Our ultrafiltration system is now fully operational. With this, we are taking an important and concrete step in further strengthening our water quality and proactively managing phytosanitary risks within our nursery. In this blog, you can read how ultrafiltration works in practice and, above all, what this means for you.

Full control over every water flow

Now that the ultrafiltration system is fully operational, all water that reaches our cultivation is filtered.

This applies to:

  • Reused drainage water

  • Water from the outdoor basin

  • Water from our underground water storage

How ultrafiltration works in our closed system

At the heart of all water flows is the ultrafiltration installation (UF). It operates with membranes containing extremely fine pores. These membranes remove micro-organisms and particles from the water, including nematodes, fungi, bacteria and even viruses. At the same time, nutrients remaining in the drainage water are retained.

In the infographic, you can see how all water flows converge within the installation. Water from various sources is filtered through the UF system and then carefully directed back to cultivation. This creates a closed and controlled cycle.

What this means for you

Water connects all phases of cultivation. When water flows are fully controlled, the likelihood of unwanted organisms spreading via water is significantly reduced. By filtering every water flow, we structurally reduce the risk of invisible contamination.

For you as a customer, this means:

  • Healthier, stronger plants

  • Reliable delivery

  • A more stable foundation for your projects

  • Reduced dependence on corrective measures afterwards

A conscious choice for reliability

With the commissioning of the ultrafiltration system, we make our focus on prevention tangible. We take responsibility at the source, before risks can develop further within the chain.

The result is maximum control over water quality and an even stronger, healthier foundation for our plants, and therefore for your projects.
